Longford on Stage

Longford on Stage is a local amateur dramatic group, founded in 2003. We comprise a mixture of adults, teens and children, but what we all have in common is a desire to learn more about performance of acting, singing, dancing, stage management, scenery design, lighting & sound. Based at the church hall at Salem Baptist Church in Longford, Coventry (UK), we have members from a range of organisations.
The following local churches are represented:-

• Aldermans Green Free Methodist Church, Aldermans Green Rd,
• Exhall Methodist Church, Black Horse Rd, Exhall,
• Salem Baptist Church, Lady Lane,
• Union Place Baptist Church, Oban Road.

Although most of the members are from a Christian background, everyone is welcome. The only requirement is a desire to have fun, sing, dance, entertain people and learn theatre skills.
Longford on Stage has produced the following shows:-

• Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (November 2003)
• The Sound of Music (2004)
• Summer Holiday (2005)
• Disco Inferno (January 2007)
• Cinderella (January 2008)
• Seven Brides for Four Brothers (January 2009)

last year we finished performing "Seven Brides for Four Brothers" in January 2009 and we had four nights of well attended performances, this year our production is very different.

We are deciding what to perform next, but in the interim, we plan to do a musical compilation show in January 2010, the dates are not finalised, so please check here later.
